Finca El Lote is the kind of coffee that makes me stop mid-sip. Jhon Edinson Suns grows this washed field blend at 2,050 masl in Santa María, Huila, and the cup has a silky body, rose florals, and the sweetness of apricot. We're really enjoying it on the Fetco right now, so here's the batch recipe I'm using.
A note on this recipe: these numbers are dialed in on our Fetco brewer at the shop. Your brewer, grind, water, and batch size will affect the result, so treat this as a strong starting point, not a fixed target.

What Dialed In Tastes Like
When it's right, you're looking for a silky body, rose florals, and a clear apricot sweetness. The cup should feel bright and aromatic without getting sharp, with a clean finish that keeps you coming back.
Common Misses
The main thing to watch is extraction. If the cup tastes thin and the rose or apricot notes fade, go a little finer before changing the ratio. If it turns dry or bitter, go coarser and keep the batch near the 1.3% TDS to get a mid-18% extraction.
