Who We Are
Circuit Coffee is a specialty coffee roaster and coffee shop rooted in community. We have a full espresso bar, a diverse tea list, and everything in between, plus a bakery where every pastry is made in-house and served fresh daily.
Our menu is simple and quality-focused. Ingredients are sourced as locally and seasonally as possible, because we think the best cup is one that reflects where you are and what's growing around you. Circuit Coffee was founded to fill a real need: great coffee, and a place where people can actually slow down and connect. A proper third place.
The Roastery
Our coffee is an extension of that same philosophy. We roast in-house on a Sivetz fluid bed roaster, a process that uses hot air rather than a drum to develop the coffee. It gives us a level of clarity and control that lets each origin express itself fully, without getting in the way.
We carry a rotating selection of single-origin coffees, chosen because they're doing something interesting, not just because they're available. Every lot reflects the people, place, and story behind it, and our job is to honor that and bring out the best of what's inside.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
All of our coffee and food waste gets composted on our family homestead, where it goes back into the soil to grow produce we bring right back into the shop. Herbs, tomatoes, jalapeños, garlic, rhubarb, and flowers, to name a few things all grown from waste we’ve turned into something beautiful. It's a closed loop we're extremely proud of, and one we're always looking to expand.
On the green coffee sourcing side, we work with importers who have direct, long-term relationships with the producers we buy from, so we know where the coffee comes from, who grew it, and that they were paid fairly. We think that's the baseline, not a bonus.
MEET THE VISIONARY
Ted Dobek
A natural-born creator, Ted started exploring food and drink at home in the kitchen. After working a few jobs in coffee, he realized a coffee shop was the platform in which he wanted to release his creativity.
His creative background and holistic approach allowed him to design a brand, space, and ultimately an experience. Pulling from local and available ingredients, Ted makes it his goal for the menu to showcase New England in its appropriate season.
